The referral configuration section displays information about the referrals configured by the lender for borrowers across their platform. 

The page displays seven columns listed below:

  • Event type

  • Benefit usage

  • Minimum event amount

  • Referrer Benefit Amount

  • Referee Benefit Amount

  • Referrer Event Limit

  • Referee Event Limit

  • Duration


  1. Event type: This defines the point during the flow at which a referral becomes valid. The options available are either at the point of sign up, get loan, pay loan, fund loan, loan application, loan declined, loan approved, bill payment and so on. This means that the referrer would only be credited with the referral bonus or any other benefit once the person they referred passes any of the above points.

  2. Benefit usage: This shows the options available to the referrer on how to use the referral benefit given to them. The options available are to pay a bill, make a transfer or lend the money.

  3. Minimum event amount: This is the minimum transaction amount that a referee must have performed before the referrer can be eligible for their reward.

  4. Referrer Benefit Amount: This is the amount given to a referrer for inviting borrowers to sign up on the platform using their referral link.

  5. Referee Benefit Amount: This is the amount given to a newly signed-up borrower on the platform for joining the platform via a referral link.

  6. Referrer Event Limit: This is the number of times the referrer can redeem benefits on the same referral event. Beyond this limit, they would no longer gain the referral benefits.

  7. Referee Event Limit: This is the number of times the referee can redeem benefits on the same referral event. Beyond this limit, they would no longer gain the referral benefits.

  8. Duration: This is the total number of days in which the referral setting will be active for which it will no longer apply.
