The Upload Schedule feature allows you to upload custom loan repayment schedules using an Excel file. This gives you the flexibility to define specific repayment structures and book loans accordingly. It is particularly useful for migrations or cases where the repayment plan deviates from the standard schedule generation logic.

You’ll also have access to a downloadable sample template that outlines all the required and optional fields, making it easier to format your uploads correctly.

Common Use Cases

  1. Loan Data Migration: When migrating old loan records, you can upload repayment history (including paid amounts and dates) to retain repayment accuracy.

  2. Custom Schedules for Clients:
If a client has a non-standard repayment structure (e.g., balloon payments, seasonal terms), you can create and upload a tailored schedule after internal agreement.

Steps to Upload a Custom Loan Schedule

To upload a custom schedule while booking a loan, follow the steps below:

1. Navigate to the Loans page under the Loan Management tab in the Admin Console.

2. Click on ‘Book New Loan’.

3. On the Book New Loan page, click on ‘Download Sample Schedule’ to get the template.

4. Fill in all required loan details on the booking form.

5. Complete the schedule in the Excel template with your preferred dates, principal, and interest amounts, and any other optional fields you want to fill.

6. Upload the schedule file in Excel format and click Book Loan

Note:
Each loan can have a maximum of 120 schedules. If your upload exceeds this limit, the system will reject the file. Ensure that your uploaded schedule stays within this boundary.

Schedule upload ignores product settings such as max principal, interest or tenor. Therefore, should you upload 120 monthly schedules with a product set to use a 1-month schedule, the system accepts it and books the loan accordingly.
