What are repayment method instructions?

Repayment method instructions are short, helpful messages that guide customers on how to set up or select a payment method when applying for a loan.

They appear at the exact point customers are adding a payment method (e.g., card, direct debit, bank transfer) on your platform, providing direction if they get stuck or do not have a payment method ready.

  • Open your web browser and log into the Lendsqr admin console with your credentials.

2. Click on "Loan Products" under Product Management

  • From the main dashboard, go to Product Management and select Loan Products. This will display a list of all the loan products you have created.

3. Create a Loan Product or Open an Existing One

6. Activate and customize your instruction

  • On your Lendsqr admin console, you can customize four fields when setting up repayment method instructions:
    • Active: Check this box to activate repayment method instructions for this loan product. If unchecked, instructions will not display to customers.
    • Label: This is the title or headline customers will see above the instruction. Example, “How do you want to pay?”
    • Description: This field explains payment method options or guidance for your customers. Example, “You can choose to pay with either a debit card or direct debit. If you need help setting up your payment method, please follow the instructions below.”
    • CTA Label: This is the button text customers will see if you are linking to an external page or help resource. Example, “Need help? Click here”
    • CTA URL: Add the link where customers can get more help or complete their payment setup.

7. Click on "Save"

  • Once you have activated and customized your instruction, click on the Submit and then Confirm button to apply the changes to the loan product.
